The volume contains Bahrain Petroleum Company Limited (BAPCO) monthly reports to the Political Agent A mid-ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Agency. containing data on Petroleum Products Export, monthly reports containing data of 'Shipment of oil from Bahrain' from December 1943 to January 1945 and semestral 'Abstract of Accounts' from June 1943 to June 1944.

The index is arranged chronologically and refers to documents within the volume; it gives brief description of the correspondence with a reference number in red or blue crayon, which refers back to that correspondence in the volume.

Physical characteristics

There are two foliation sequences: the main commences at the front cover and terminates at the last folio; these numbers are written in pencil, are encircled and can be found in the top centre. The numbering goes from 1-107; 108A and 108B and then carries on until 173, which is the last number given on the last page of writing. A second foliation sequence commences at folio 2 and terminates at folio 164; these numbers are also written in pencil, but are not circled, and can be found in the top right corner.
