This file contains correspondence regarding attempts by Hugh Weightman, the Political Agent A mid-ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Agency. in Bahrain to encourage British nationals working in the country to make a monthly contribution to British war charities.
The file contains a copy of a letter that was sent by Weightman to all British workers in Bahrain asking for contributions (folios 2-4) as well as sample banker's orders for giving charitable contributions (folios 5-6).
The file also contains a list of the names of all British nationals working in Bahrain at the time (folios 8-10).
