Arabic version of Book Three of Galen's (جالينوس) De methodo medendi (Θεραπευτικὴ μέθοδος; حيلة البروء). The Arabic translation from the Greek was made by Ḥubaysh ibn al-Ḥasan (حبيش بن الحسن known as Ḥubaysh al-A‘sam [حبيش الأعسم]; AD 9th century), and partially revised by his uncle, Ḥunayn ibn Isḥāq al-‘Ibādī (حنين بن إسحق العبادي), who had previously translated the work from Greek into Syriac.

إذ كان قد وجب مما قلنا يا أيارون العزيز

إنّ الاستدلال إنّما يخرج به معرفة ما ينبغي أنْ

يعمل إذا كان مأخوذًا من نفس طبيعة المرض ...

Ends (f. 64v, lines 9-13):

... فإنّي أحسب أنّ هذا موضعًا

ينبغي لي أنْ أقطع فيه هذه المقالة الثالثة وآخذ في

المقالة الرابعة في الأمراض التي تكون في أكثر

الأمر مع القروح وأضيف إلأيها ذكر مداواة

Colophon Section at the end of a manuscript text. (f. 64v, line 13):

تمت المقالة الثالثة

A note in Latin pasted to front paper ii verso The back of a sheet of paper or leaf, often abbreviated to 'v'. mistakenly identifies the text as the third book of Galen's De facultatibus naturalibus (i.e. Περὶ δυνάμεων φυσικῶν, known in Arabic as القوة الطبيعية). The same incorrect title appears on the volume's spine.
