Memorandum, written by the Political Department of the India Office The department of the British Government to which the Government of India reported between 1858 and 1947. The successor to the Court of Directors. 15 February 1911, describing the position of Muskat [Muscat] where the export of arms to India and Persia has been prohibited since 1898, but were the import of arms into Muskat and their export to any other country remains unprohibited. The memorandum has been divided under the following headings:
