Signed by the Special Committee on the Aden Defences formed of Lieutenant-Colonel C.W. Grant and Major Artillery William Jacob, Bombay 23rd April 1844.

Inscriptions:

Bottom left-hand corner: ‘Exect. Engineers Office Aden, 20th December 1843’.

Lower right-hand corner: ‘Henry W.B. Bell 2nd Lieutt. Acting Executive Engineer’.
