In this letter Charles Norris, Acting Chief Secretary to Government, Bombay, writes that he is directed by the Governor in Council of Bombay, Sir John Malcolm, to request that David Wilson, Resident in the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. , Bushire, obtain a cask, or a few bags, of shining sand from the region, which may be substituted in the Stationery Department for the sand sent from England.
