The letter is acknowledging a communication dated 31 December 1811, which advised William Bruce that his disbursements for May and June 1810 have been passed by Government. It also encloses a statement of pensions for the Bushire Residency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, established in the provinces and regions considered part of, or under the influence of, British India. ; this statement provides the names of individuals drawing a company pension from the Residency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, established in the provinces and regions considered part of, or under the influence of, British India. , the sum they are entitled, to plus any further remarks. It further notes that those receiving pensions will be required to collect it at regular intervals in future, or appoint an agent to collect it.
