Art icle 3 *
(1) Articles produced or man-ofactured
in the territories of His Majesty imported
into the territories of the Sultan? from
whatever place arriving^, shall not "be
subjected to other or higher duties or
charges than those paid on the like
articles produced or manufactured in any
other foreign country.
(2) No other or higher duties or
charges shall "be imposed in the territories
of the Sultan on the exportation of any
article to the territories of His Majesty
than such as are or may be payable on the
exportation of the like article to any
other foreign country.
(3) The import duties leviable in
the territories of the Sultan on goods
produced or manufactured in the
territories of His Majesty the King and
Emperor? and on goods imported by British
subjects into the said territories? shall
be paid at the port or other place in
the Sultan T s territories where the goods
are first imported? and on payment
thereof such goods shall thereafter be
exempt within the said territories from
all other Customs duties.
{k) There shall, howeve-r? be
exempted from payment of customs duty
