Justin Sheil refers to Samuel Hennell's despatch of 3 September 1850, no. 340, in which Hennell described an interview with the Acting Governor of Bushire and a deputation of merchants, on the subject of the removal of Sheikh Nasir from the Government of that town. Sheil expresses his approval both of Hennell's conduct on that occasion and of Hennell's letter to the Prince Governor A Prince of the Royal line who also acted as Governor of a large Iranian province during the Qājār period (1794-1925). of Sheeraz [Shiraz]. Sheil assures Hennell that he does not consider it any part of his [Sheil's] duty to interfere in the matters between the Shah and his subjects.
