The letter is informing the Captain that the HC Benares will be free to proceed to Bombay, as per the Captain's instructions, once the Resident has completed his tour of the Arabian coast. It notes however that as the HC Cruizer Nautilus has been dispatched to Bushire, he may be able to dispense with the Benares sooner, if the Nautilus is placed at his disposal.
