In acknowledgment.of your letter No.C/945 dated August 25,
1946, and to keep you advised of the Company's plans regarding exploration
work within the Additional Area, I wish to inform you that equipment is
being assembled to start active structure drilling work in the near future.

As a ^preliminary to this work the building of the rock drilling
piers at apprcteimate locations B & C shown on the map attached to my letter
No.C/PA-247 dated May 15, 1946, is being undertaken by a local contractor
(M. D. Minasian) and work in this connection has already started.
During the marine operations it will be necessary to use
wireless for communications between the locations and Awali to speed the
work and assure safety of personnel. For this purpose a wireless transmitter
will be installed on the Company's launch "Zellaq". This transmitter will
use a frequency of 6575 Kcs and the Awali transmitter will use a frequency
of 3287 Kcs; both these frequencies have been allocated for Company
operations.

The foliation is in pencil, encircled, in the top right corner of each folio. The numbering begins on the front cover of the file, on number 1, and runs through to 62, 62A; and then it carries on until 67, which is the last number given on the back cover of the file. There is another foliation, incomplete: the numbering starts with 1 on the first page of writing (folio 2) and ends with 203 (folio 66); missing folios: 2-14; 20; 23-25; 29; 31-39; 197; 199-201.
