UNITED KINGDOM OIL SUPPLIERS.
THE same figures, it is often said, can be so used to
fit diverse arguments. But similar statistics for a
consecutive period of years, such as those of the United
Kingdom oil supplies given in this issue, can be used with
fairness to reach certain general conclusions. No survey
giving a clear indication of the trend as to oil-consigning
countries over a period of six years has been published
before In the future much of this information will be
supplied monthly by the Board of Trade, but for the
figures until this year the collation of such statistics has
entailed great effort. This survey is paiticularly oppor
tune in that it covers a period of revolutionary change,
as the graph accompanying the article depicts clearly.
