Content

The letter relates to the whereabouts of a Soor [Ṣūr] inhabitant charged with kidnapping a Somali girl. Jones writes that information from the British Agent at Muscat suggests that the man is now residing in Aden. Appended to Jones’s letter is the translated extract of a letter from the British Agent at Muscat, to Jones, dated 30 July 1856.
