The subject matter covered includes British trade in the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. , the settling of disputes between signatories of the General Treaty with the Arab Tribes of the Persian Gulf An agreement made in 1820 between Britain and ten tribal rulers of the eastern Arabian coast, often seen as marking the start of 150 years of British hegemony in the region. 1820, and the suppression of piracy; the Resident has the responsibility to enforce and maintain the treaty. Two other topics covered are the cession of Mombasa to the British Government, as a result of the actions of Captain William Owen, and the rights and privileges of the British at Basra.

Condition: The binding has been completely lost, and the body of the file is therefore loose. However, the folios themselves are in good condition.
