Correspondence relating to the request by Faisal bin Turki [Fayṣal bin Turkī], Sultan of Muscat for a loan of 40,000 Rupis [ Rupees Indian silver coin also widely used in the Persian Gulf. ] in order to conduct a campaign against a rebellious tribe, the Beni Ruaheh [Bani Ruwāhah]. It contains a statement of the Sultan's financial position including the system of farming out the customs.
