The file mainly contains correspondence between the Political Agent A mid-ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Agency. at Bahrain, the Political Resident A senior ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul General) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Residency. at Bushire and Bahrain Petroleum Company Limited (BAPCO) on the lighting of Sitra Anchorage and its approaches.

The file includes 'Return of Oil Tankers which visit Bahrain' in 1945-46 (folios 40-41, 45-61; 65-70; 76-78) and maps of 'Proposed berthing Lines' (folio 4B) and 'Proposed rearrangement lighting of Sitra anchorage and its approaches' (folio 4C).
