The file contains correspondence between the Political Agency An office of the British Government and, earlier, of the East India Company. in Bahrain, Political Officer, Trucial Coast The historic term used by the British to refer to the Gulf coast of Trucial Oman, now called United Arab Emirates. (POTC) in Sharjah, the British Agency An office of the British Government and, earlier, of the East India Company. at Doha, and representatives of Gulf Aviation Company, Petroleum Concessions Limited, and Petroleum Development (Qatar) Limited.

The correspondence discusses matters related to the new Gulf Aviation service between Bahrain, Doha, and Sharjah. Specifically:

  • the carriage of mail between political offices in the region;
  • the responsibility of Petroleum Concessions Limited to carry non-company passengers on their aircraft;
  • timetable and fare information.
