This file contains a letter from Charles Belgrave, Adviser to the Government of Bahrain, to the Political Agency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, headed by an agent. in Bahrain requesting permission on behalf of the country's ruler, Shaikh Salmān bin Ḥamad Āl Khalīfah, to import cars from the USA.

Also contained in the file are a number of letters to the Political Agency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, headed by an agent. sent from local merchant houses with details of the cars that they are able import into Bahrain from the USA.
