The volume comprises correspondence, despatches, memorandum, notes, and reports on the Karun irrigation scheme, including many diagrams of the construction and layout.
The principal correspondents are the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs (Sir Edward Grey), and representatives of the India Office The department of the British Government to which the Government of India reported between 1858 and 1947. The successor to the Court of Directors. and the Foreign Office.
