The file contains correspondence regarding a request by American missionary Dr Sarah Longworth Hosmon for permission to establish a medical practice in Kalba, Trucial States A name used by Britain from the nineteenth century to 1971 to refer to the present-day United Arab Emirates. , and for permits for other missionaries to travel from the United States to join her.
