Correspondence exchanged between HM Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary A diplomatic representative who ranks below an ambassador. The term can be shortened to 'envoy'. in Tehran and the Foreign Office in London. The correspondence concerns appointments to the Persian Legation in London: in 1929, the appointment of the Governor of Khorassan [Khorāsān] Sayyed Hasan Taqizādeh (spelt in various ways throughout the file) to London, with an extract of Taqizādeh’s entry in the 1926 edition of Persian Who’s Who ; in 1933, the recall of the Persian Minister and First Secretary from London; in 1936, the appointment of Ali Soheily to London; in 1941, the reappointment to London of Taqizādeh; in 1942, the appointment of a Persian Military Attaché to London; in 1944, the raising of the status of the Persian Legation in London to an Embassy.
