This file contains correspondence between British officials regarding whether the official spelling should be Bahrain or Bahrein. The spelling of Kuwait (Kuwait or Koweit) is also discussed in passing.

The correspondence is between officials at the India Office The department of the British Government to which the Government of India reported between 1858 and 1947.
