This file contains weekly entries by the Political Agent A mid-ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Agency. in Muscat on the general condition of Oman; arrivals and departures of ships; movement of British representatives; missionary enterprises; and aviation. The most significant parts of the file are entries relating to political events in Oman, and relations with prominent sheikhs and regional rulers as well as the Sultan of Muscat and Oman.
