Hennell writes to Malet that he has requested the inspection by Commodore J. P. Porter of a bugla Large trading vessel. (boat) flying British colours, which has been detained by Khojah Hiskal, the native agent Non-British agents affiliated with the British Government. at Muscat. Commodore Porter's reply was included with the original letter. Hennell writes that the crew of the ship has dispersed and the captain (nakhuda) sent to him via Bahrain for 'adequate punishment.' Four Abyssinian slave girls have been forwarded to Bombay.
