Sir,
With reference to Article 85 of the Kuwait orderr-in-Council,
1925, I have the honour to submit herewith my report on the
working of the KUwait Order-in-Council, 1925, for the period
from 1st January to 51st December 1928.
A criminal case Rex vs Mft , autoah daughter of Ibrahim, was
tried on the lat of April under'section 30? of the Indian penal
code for attempting to poison her husband, BiHu son of Husain
Baldash. The accused was found guilty by the Sessions judge at
Kuwait and was sentenced on the 23rd of April 1928 to three
years simple imprisonment. The finding was reversed, however,
by the Chief Court, Bushire, who acquitted the accused under
section 423 of the Criminal procedure Code and ordered her
release on the 18th May 1928.
Thirty seven British subjects and four British protected
persons were registered during the year 1928.• rour of these Yvere
registered free and a sum of Es 37/— was collected lor the
remainder.

No Civil cases were tried during the year 1928.
