32. The Government of India are defmitely of opinion that the alienation

consider that so long as Arab opinion is not alienated by an attempt at
undue Westernisation, our present veiled protectorate suffices not only against
European encroachment, but against the encroachments of the Wahabi State.
That protectorate can, they remark, at need be more explicitly asserted.
