My dear Worth/
In reference to the enclosed chit from Russell,
could you very kindly arrange for the relative Delivery Order
to he lodged at the Customs as early as possible.
In regard to the mis-delivery, I understand that at
the urgent request of your Mr Thomas, Afthas Aly, Mespers 1 cargo
Superintendent, handed them over to my Mr D'Sousa, who released
the cases on the promise of the Delivery Order "being delivered
at the Customs the next morning.
Russell is always a little sensitive about delivery

ahle to persuade him that there are occasions/when the importer

The file consists of papers concerning the import into Bahrain from India of certain consignments of fresh fruit (peaches and pears), July to November 1934, including the statement from the Officiating Political Agent A mid-ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Agency. , Bahrain (M Worth) in response to an enquiry from the Agriculture Officer, North West Frontier Province, Peshawar, India that Europeans would be very likely to buy fresh fruit from India; and correspondence over a proposal by the Adviser to the Government, Bahrain (Charles Dalrymple Belgrave) to obtain oranges from Palestine for sale in Bahrain, and the difficulty of bringing such consignments through Iraq, November to December 1942.
