On the 29th July 1934 at about 6*50 p.m. Mr. D' Souza
of the Customs informed the Head -Clerk of this Agency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, headed by an agent. that
U cases of fresh fruit addressed to the Political Agent A mid-ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Agency. ,
Bahrain, had arrived and were lying at the Custom. On receipt
of this infortiation, the HeacUClerk telephoned Mr• Kassell

Office informed the Head-Clerk that the 11 cases of fresh
fruit had arrivad and the Head-Clerk informed him that the
cases in question had already bean cleared from the Customs.
