the Political Resident A senior ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul General) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Residency. has seen Shaikh Ali Ihn Shaikh
Mahomed and informed him that as he had done good work for
Major Daly he did not want to disgrace him "by dismissal and
that it would be better if he resigned the Service.
Shaikh Ali has resigned with effect from 1st June 1927.

These papers concern the personality of Shaikh ‘Alī bin Shaikh Muḥammad, the Agency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, headed by an agent. interpreter, and a series of charges against him for accepting sums of money from Bahraini peasants so as to facilitate their acquisition of farm land and property sequestered by the State from the Āl Dawāsir tribe and from Shaikh Khālid in the early 1920s.
