Content

The letter relates to the payment of compensation by the ruler of Bahrain to the victims of acts of piracy carried out by the Amaieer chief Humud bin Mujdel. Kemball reports that the payments have been made, and that he has received receipts from the British Agent in Bahrain [Hajjī Jāsim] as proof that the money has been paid. Kemball also writes that the vessels captured in the piracies have been returned.
