The letter concerns an incident which took place on board the Honourable Company's Ship Benares , committed by a crew member of the ship Udny . Captain Woodly writes to enclose a copy of an investigation made against John O'Heale of the Udny , in the wake of a charge made against him made by the Chief Officer of the Udny . Woodly requests Dow A term adopted by British officials to refer to local sailing vessels in the western Indian Ocean. to take appropriate action against the man who 'threaten to take the lives of myself and officers.' The copy of the report enclosed by Woodly is not included in the file.
