Letter enclosing letter No.1449P from Charles Umpherston Aitchison, Secretary to the Government of India, Simla, to Charles Gonne, dated 1 July 1872, in which the Government of India approve of Colonel Lewis Pelly's proceedings at Sohar in 'commanding redress for the violation of the rights of British subjects by Ibrahim bin Gais [Ibrahim bin Qais]'.
