Content: The letter is a covering letter, forwarding to Kemball a copy of letter no.3706 of 1854 (folio 16) from Anderson to Rear Admiral Sir Henry Leeke, Commander in Chief of the Indian Navy, dated 17 August 1854. Anderson’s letter is a confirmation of receipt of Leeke's previous correspondence regarding the dispatch of the Honourable Company's sloop Falkland to the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. . Anderson adds that His Lordship in Council reminds Leeke that two years have elapsed since reports of Humeed bin Mujdell’s first act of piracy, and that the punishment of Humeed bin Mujdell, and the liberation of those persons whom he enslaved, should be a priority in the approaching season.
