With reference to your letter No. 24, dated the
14th April 1925, I am directed to state that the Hon^le the
Political Resident A senior ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul General) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Residency. approves generally of the terms of the
draft Agreement proposed for Mr. Thomas 1 employment with the
Muscat State.
2. He considers, however, that for the sake of clarity
the following should be substituted for the present wording of
the first sentence of clause IV (a) of the Schedule of Terms
to the Agreement
"Furlough will be earned on the basis of two
"months per year's completed and approved active
"service, but shall only be taken in the first
instance after three years 1 service
I am to request that the draft may be altered accordingly.
3. Three copies of the Agreement as finally concluded
should be forwarded to this office.
