The letter is acknowledging the receipt of a communication (No 1363 of 1824), which instructed the Resident to provide all the assistance to Mohomed Ali Khan [Muḥammad ‘Alī Khān] for his losses in the Sherauz [Shiraz] earthquake that he sees fit. It further reports that the person in question has been provided with 3000 Bombay rupees Indian silver coin also widely used in the Persian Gulf. .
