Letter regarding the difficulties being caused by the Resident only being permitted to communicate with the Persian Passport and Foreign Office Monshee [ Munshi A secretary or political assistant working in the British administration in the Gulf, often also providing linguistic interpretation. ], who is about to be removed from Bushire owing to his conduct, and regarding the possibility of Persian servants spying on the residency A diplomatic office of the British Government established in the provinces and regions considered part of, or under the influence of, British India. as well as requesting further information on allegations made and the treaty authority under which these circumstances have arisen.
