The letter is informing the Bombay Government that the Resident has been summoned to the Recorder's Court at Bombay by Abdull Rahim Khaun [‘Abd al-Raḥīm Khān] son of the late Mohomed Nabbee Khaun [Muḥammad Nabī Khān]; the case concerns a claim over a company pension awarded to the latter. A request is conveyed for a copy of instructions issued on the matter to the Resident by the Governor of Bombay, so the Resident may use it in his defence.
