THE Under-Secretary of State for India presents his compliments to the Under-
Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, and forwards herewith, for the information of the
Secretary of State, copy of a telegram from the Viceroy, dated the 29th January, 1913,
relative to Abu Musa oxide.

Following report received in reply from political resident A senior ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul General) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Residency. , Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. ;—
" Please refer to enclosure to my letter of the 3rd November, 1912. The 5,000 odd
bags alluded to there were shipped on the 14th November. Up to the 31st December,
1912, no other shipment took place, and it appears from the report of the 17th January
from the agent that the removal of Hasan's gear from the island has now been effected.
It is believed that in the meanwhile Wonckhaus's Lingah agent asked the German
consul, Bushire, by wire to get further respite for him, but that the reply from the
csnsul was not favourable."
