treaty between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia,
I have sent copies to the Foreign Office and
India Office The department of the British Government to which the Government of India reported between 1858 and 1947. The successor to the Court of Directors. "for consideration" and I hope to let you'
have a reply before very long^ Judging from the time
which it usually takes to get off replies to despatches
from the Persian Gulf Historically used by the British to refer to the sea area between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. Often referred to as The Gulf or the Arabian Gulf. , this may be optimistic; but in
this case delay wo^t matter: at any rate, you are in
no hurry to do anything about a treaty and will be
content to sit tight #
What with air-routes and Henjam, the Persian
particular subjects the Colonial Office as such is not
directly concerned,and having more than enough work
