- copy of letter from Francis Warden to H Merton, Superintendent of the Marine dated 30 November 1813, informing that the East India Company cruisers Benares and Prince of Wales are to be kept in the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. for protection of the trade unless the Resident at Bushire should find necessary to send them to Bombay;
- copy of letter sent from C W Elwood, Agent to Government at Poor Bunder [Porbandar, India] to Francis Warden, dated 25 November, informing that five merchant boat sailing were taken by a fleet of eleven Joasimese Pirates consisting of seven dows and four bottillas.
