Letter from William Newnham, Secretary to Government at Bombay Castle, to Lieutenant William Bruce, Resident at Bushire, transmitting a letter written on 17 October from the Accountant General, John Kaye, to inform Newnham that the sum of 10,000 rupees Indian silver coin also widely used in the Persian Gulf. was paid for the accounts of the Residency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, established in the provinces and regions considered part of, or under the influence of, British India. at Bushire, and requesting Bruce in the future to send large bills directly to the Governor.
