Ephraim Gerrish Stannus, Resident in the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. , Bushire, refers to Henry Willock's letter of 31 December 1823 and requests that Willock send him an extract from the account of the Mission's expenses for the year 1822. Stannus states that a certifed extract is required to enable him to recover the amount from Captain William Bruce, should it appear that any mistake has occurred in the transaction.
