Your express letter 3^2-S April 21st.
Paragraph 5 . I should prefer to alter the fifth
sentence of Article 4 of the draft "Law regarding ownership
of immovable property in Bahrain by foreigners" to read
"Should the assessors fail to agree, the District Court
shall either Ca) appoint a third assessor whose decision
shall be final or (b) order that the immovable property
shall be sold by public auction". This would provide a
valuable corrective to unreasonable behaviour by the owner
or to attempts to corrupt the assessors.
I fear that without such a corrective, the open-
