Letter regarding a register of drafts sent by Lieutenant-Colonel Macdonald for forthcoming bills that he would be sending to the treasury at Bushire, and regarding the rate of exchange between Tomans 10,000 Persian dinars, or a gold coin of that value. and Rupees Indian silver coin also widely used in the Persian Gulf. at that time.

The letter also refers to the following enclosures which are no longer present:

  • Statement of expenses incurred by the Tehran mission in the previous financial quarter;
  • Account showing the cash remaining on deposit at the Bushire treasury.
