Qatar Negotiations .
j^any thanks for your letter of 26th May. The delay
in replying to it has been due to the fact that it awaited
my return here from tour. I was very glad to do what I
could to help the Company to secure their concession, which
I hope will turn out a profitable one.
As I have already pointed out - vide my letter

you under my Printed Letter No .C/227 of same date - Mylles
did extremely well in a very difficult position and it

You will have heard that I arranged for the exchange
of letters with the Shaikh covering the Government Agree-
I am going on two and a half months' leave at the
end of next month and look forward to seeing your people
in Britannic House. Is there any chance of seeing you

The volume contains:the Qatar oil concession, signed by the Shaikh of Qatar, ‘Abdullāh bin Jāsim Āl Thānī, and APOC on 17 May 1935, in Arabic and English (folios 67-86) 'Sketch map of Qatar Peninsula' (folio 87); agreement 5 June 1935 between the British Government and APOC regarding the Qatar Oil Concession (folios 211-212).
