The letter is informing the Captain of the Ketch that the Resident has received a report from Captain Matson, Commander of the Moholar , that his ship was pursued by pirates while en route from Bombay. It is recommended that the Ketch remains at Bushire until the arrival of the HCC Ternate , which can provide escort.
