The letter covers a numbers of topics. Firstly, it explains that as winter is drawing in, the Lieutenant thinks awaiting instructions concerning twenty five British soldiers sent to join the force at Tabreez [Tabriz] will cause them unnecessary hardship. As a result, he has decided to send them to Tabreez in eight to ten days time. Secondly, it notes that the Residency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, established in the provinces and regions considered part of, or under the influence of, British India. only has Muselipitam bills remaining for sale; Bengal and Bombay bills are in high demand.
