Content

The letter is instructing the Captain to search for the Country Ship Rhaim Shaw ,which belonged to Mahomed Neuby Khan [Muḥammad Nabī Khān], brother of Mahomed Jaffer Khan [Muḥammad Ja‘afar Khān], the former Governor of Bushire; it departed the Bushire Roads without prior communication. The ship is sailing under the protection of 'English colours', which could cause the British difficulties if it is not returned to Bushire given the current political instability at that port.
