Content

The letter is reporting the improper conduct of Captain Heathorn, commander of the Country Ship Rhaim Shaw . The Captain fled the Bushire Roads upon hearing that the Governor of Bushire had been imprisoned; the ship belonged to Mahomed Neuby Khan [Muḥammad Nabī Khān], the former Governor's brother. It notes that the ship was laden with valuable cargo from Bombay belonging to Bushire merchants, and that the ship itself is Persian property.
