The Coronatio
The King, who had hourly intelligence of the Advance of
the Grandees of the Kingdom, underftanding that they were
arrived at J^achan, fent an Exprefs with Commands to the two
Chief Phyficians, Ur ^a Satrid, that is to fay, ; and
Mrza-Kouchonk, firnamed alio the to diftinguifh him
from bis Brother, who was the chief to retire to the
Palace Royal at i^ora, which joyns to the Mo/que, where arc
the Tombs of the laft deceafed Kings; to betake themlelves to
the Apartments allotted for them, there to pray to God the re
mainder of their days for the Profperity of his Throne; in ac
knowledgment of his Clemency towards them, in that he in-
flidted no heavier punilhmenc upon them, than only that flight
difgrace; fmce they had deferved to lofe their lives for under
ftanding no better to prefervethe life of his Father and their
Sovereign. The fame Meflenger carried alfo Orders to
Majfoon, or the Lord without 'Blem already mentioned, and
the Son alfo of the Prime Minifter; and Moutuely of as
much as to fay, Majler of the Wor and
ment, to take an Inventory of the whole Eftate of thole
two Phyficians, to give it under their Seals what they found in
ready Money, and to fend the Inventory when they had made
it up to the King. Out of which he allowed them a Revenue
of twenty thoufand Crowns a year to live comfortably in the
faid City, without ftirring out of the Palace to which they
were confined, till the Supreme Power fhould difpofe of their
Lives.
The whole Body of the Court arrived at Ifpahm within a
Week after that, which was three Weeks after the Kings Co
ronation. And then it was that the great Officers were admit
ted one after another, troubled in their minds, and with hearts
laden with forrow. Not one of them that knew what part to
ad in this new Court, where everyone flattered himfelf with
making an Intereft. However ftill as they came to Town, they
went to kifs the Kings Feet ; and to pay him the
tBached, which is a Cuftomary term which they ule when they
Congratulate the Profperity of any great Perlbn: as if we fhould
fay, Let fuch a thing turn to jourblejfmg.
His Majefty, as every Grandee had paid him his Submiffions
honoured him with a Calatc, or Vefi. This (perjian
word, according to its Etymology, fignifies Entire, Ac-
compltfhed, to fignifie either the Excellency of the Habit, or the
Dignity of him that wears it. For it is an infallible Mark of
the particular Efteem which the Sovereign has for the perfon to
